Introduction: In addition to being the third best-selling champagne in the world – and the one that was unveiled on every Formula I podium for many years, Cordon Rouge is an example of the good work of the house G.H. Mumm, that with a rigorous production attends with the same qualitative rigor of the champagnes of all his range. Thus, Cordon Rouge is a sure value that satisfies both those who are just starting out in the world of the world’s most famous sparkling wine and the most demanding fans.
Viticulture: Made from more than 77 vintages, each cuvée of G.h Mumm Cordon Rouge embodies the nobility and diversity of the vineyards of the Champagne region. The Maison Mumm owns today 218 hectares, 160 of which are located in Grands Crus. All the great crus are represented (the Mountain of Reims, the Valleys of the Marnee and the Ardre, the Côte des Blancs, Sézannais, the Côte des Bars). Many of the wines used are Grands Crus and Premiers Crus. In the blend of this wine predominates the variety pinot noir, a historical strain of G.H. Mumm, which provides structure and strength, enriched with chardonnays, which give it delicacy and elegance. To complete the mixture, pinots meuniers have been used, giving them their characteristic fruity, lively and resounding notes. The G.H Mumm Cordon Rouge style is characterized by the subtle and constant balance between freshness and intensity.
Vinification: Each stage of the long and delicate process of making this cuvée determines its quality and perfection. The vines and raw materials are pressed and vinified separately with fermentation and malolactic and a micro-oxygenation process in a stainless steel tank to obtain a wide range of aromas and sensations capable of expressing the identity of each vineyard. They are then carefully mixed wines from the same year to which are added between 25 and 30% of reserve wines, preserved for a maximum of four years, to add complexity and greater depth to the final blend. The Cuvée G.H Mumm Cordon Rouge rests in cellar on rhymes 30 months, more than twice as long as determined by the regulatory board. Finally, the expedition liqueur dosed with only 8 g / l of sugar allows the cuvée to develop its full personality and stay true to the style of G.H. Mumm.
Varieties: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay.
Tasting Notes:
· AROMA: Based on Pinot Noir grapes, Mumm Cordon Rouge champagne gives off aromas of fresh white and yellow fruit with hints of lychee, pineapple and praline.
· TASTE: A freshness full of energy emerges in which the complexity stands out. Perfect balance of fresh fruit and round notes of caramel in the mouth that prolong the intensity.
· FINAL: Memorable and powerful aftertaste.
Consumption temperature: Between 7 and 9 degrees
Graduation: 12% Alc.
Pairing: Ideal as an aperitif, meat or white fish. In its culinary pairings, the aromatic richness of Mumm Brut Cordon Rouge champagne combines perfectly with white meats and fish, such as monkfish or wharf, elevating the gastronomic experience to new powers. The crunchy and elegant structure of the champagne also complements the creamy flavours of the pâté, creating an exciting contrast.



Cava Albert Monells Brut Reserve is a high quality organic cava, made in the traditional way, without the use of chemicals. A cava capable of being the star of your most special events. Cultivation of wine made with 100% organic grapes. No pesticides or chemicals have been used.
Varieties: Chardonnay (40%), Maccabee (20%) and Xarel·lo (20%)
Aging: rests for a minimum of 20 months at a constant temperature and controlled humidity.
Graduation: 12% Vol Bottle type and capacity: standard 75 Cl.
Tasting note: Golden colour with very subtle reddish tones, which go into the noblest properties of the grape. Fine and elegant bubbles creating a consistent crown. With an elegant and complex aroma, notes of white fruit with hints of honey, toast and citrus blend. Intense and persistent freshness with perfect balance, presenting a different cava with extraordinary sensations.
Service: It is recommended to serve it between 5 and 7ºC temperature.
Pairing: it is a cava suitable for meals, such as dishes with a certain strength, such as mushrooms, cheeses of all kinds, canned snails, red meats (including game, such as deer), rabbit garlic, fish, anchovies, cod, etc. It is also suitable to accompany some desserts, such as crispy pancakes or thick cakes.
